Who Can Help?

The designated officers are to deal with enquiries and complaints in relation to discrimination and sexual harassment. They shall inform the staff member or student concerned of the mechanism and options for dealing with allegations or complaints of discrimination and sexual harassment; and may offer assistance, including counselling, to the individuals concerned in the subsequent conciliation or investigation processes. The current officers and their contacts are:
 

Anti-discrimination Resource Persons of each College/Hall/Office are to:

1. serve as the first point of contact to address concerns about discrimination and harassment; 
2. provide information about the relevant policy and the complaint procedures;
3. inform about available options;
4. provide information and advice about where to get help, e.g. counselling; and
5. refer the case to the Panel Against Discrimination and Sexual Harassment for follow-up, as appropriate.

List of Resource Persons

The Wellness and Counselling Centre of the Office of Student Affairs provides psychological counselling to students experiencing emotional, interpersonal or other adjustment difficulties. It also aims at enhancing students' personal growth and mental health.

This programme provides 24-hour hotline service for staff members to enquire work/life information and resources or to seek professional personal counselling. Professional consultants will provide staff members with appropriate services or assistance to resolve concerns or queries.

All information will be kept in strict confidence.

What to do in case of a security emergency (e.g. being harassed by a suspect or a stranger) on campus?

1. Keep calm 
2. Ensure your own safety
3. Leave the scene right away and seek help
4. Call the University's Security Office at 3943 7999 for assistance or call the Police at 999 for serious conditions
